Choose a Case XX Trapper if you want a classic two-blade pocket knife. Choose a Case XX Stockman if you want three blades and more cutting options.
A Trapper is clip and spey, about 4⅛ inches closed on the standard pattern. The clip covers everyday cuts. The spey is for controlled slicing. It sits in a front pocket without feeling like a novelty knife.
A Stockman adds a sheepsfoot. That’s the extra blade for push cuts and detail work, and the knife runs a bit thicker in the pocket. Medium Stockman is the everyday three-blade frame for a lot of buyers. Large is for more hand fill.
