Case co-designed the Axe Handle with custom knifemaker Bill Ruple and named it for its profile, which follows the curve of an axe haft. The BR'135 tang stamp carries the story: BR is for Ruple, the 1 marks his first in-line collaboration with Case, and the 35 stands for his 35 years of making custom knives. The 135 also matched Case's years in business when work on the knife began. It's a single-clip-blade knife, pattern BR61135, with a 4-inch handle.
